cloverjo what do you mean by fast diet as these don't always work as it can go back on just as quick . Just by healthy eating should get this off in a month//
I know. I went on this diet (Haylie Pomroy's Fast Metabolism Diet) a few years ago and lost my extra weight without starving myself or doing anything silly, but I'm getting older and the Metabolism slows down. I felt I had to do something. I'll weigh myself in a couple of weeks and see how it's going.

Good morning all, thanks so much for the March spot Ed. Cloverjo your points are spot on with our creeed here with the exception that we weigh ourselves (most of us) once a week. I’ve acjieved my goal but yo yo one kilo up and one kilo down from it so would like to loose one more kilo to keep me on the safe side. As you say there is no quick fix here. It’s a new life style in all ways if you want to loose weight and keep on your new weight. Healthy meals, smaller portions and exercise...a good walk will help enormously if you can and for as long or short as you can. Just do it.
I had a meeting with my dietician today and she told me that more weight loss occurs in the spring and summer. Ive lost 20 kilos now since I began in September. It’s put a permanent grin on my face.the pure bliss of being able to buy pretty clothes is my biggest reward and of course I feel so much better.

Just started using a fitness app which is a combined exercise diary and intake log. I was interested to see the analysis of what I was eating. It doesn't give values for Vit D or magnesium though but does track Iron, calcium and potassium. I know I do have to lose weight but I have got into a lot of trouble on structured eating plans and slimming groups are an absolute no no as the need to compete and reach targets flicks me back into some very unhealthy strategies. Bulimic in my teens I have relapsed at intervals so have to avoid targets and any pressures so even my family are barred from commenting on my size or what I eat. Left to my own, with no one else to cater for I have no problem, having someone who likes regular traditional meals and cant grasp that I might want to eat something different when he is tucking into a 'normal' dinner or eat at different times is something I have to adjust for.
