We saw some really good advice in the last thread, from apps to eating well to portion sizes. What's been working for you recently?

On that particular occassion, 2 pints of Stan cider and ate a 50 gm bag of grilled steak flavour crisps. (Then went home and felt I needed something more :-O ) Still, the week as a whole seemed to cope with the slip.
Forgot to post; up 0.2 lbs this week :-(
Good morning all, all is "kind of ok" weight wise. I weigh about 2 kilos more at 5am than I do at 7am. Hmmmmmmm. I’m very aware of what and how much goes into my mouth so I guess it’s one of life's little mysteries.
around 2lb per week now...still mainly veggie diet..bit boring ..but it works....
Just the usual stay the same again but ok with that .Would like a few lbs off but I am not going on a crash diet as it will go back on just as fast .I know what to do but this has always been my weight pattern .by coming on here every week this helps to control my weight after I lost nearly 3 stone when we first started these posts must be over 4 years now with xstitcher .
Must've been a banning than ruined the earlier jest :-( I always miss the 'fun'.

Meanwhile, allegedly, I've lost 1.2 lbs over the last 24 hours. Must've been the vegetarian Indian meal last night.
Just been on the body mass analyser again and score as follows
Weight down 2.3 kilos,
BMI 44.3. From 45.6
Muscle mass up 1%
Fat percentage down by 1.5%
Well pleased. The leggings I wore when I first went know look like baggy yoga trousers, and I need to take in most of my clothes. Will keep my biggest trousers for before and after pics.
Sorry that is three weeks , be nice if it was a week but I had a week away during that period.
Good going Rowan.
I find the changes I can't see more rewarding, because they are the ones with the big health benefits. Best of all my mobility is improved so much.
well done rowan .Taking it steady is good .
I’m glad that you’re looking at your BMI Rowan because that’s where the real truth lies unless you’re a body builder
Good morning all,

If we were allowed to curse this post would be blue. It’s the nuts what done it! I was in a Turkish speciality shop and he had my favourites which I have never seen here before .....Spanish reds......I bought a quarter of a kilo and have one more day's portion left. The damage first started to show today. :-(( Luckily that little shop is located in a shopping center far away from here and we were only there to buy printer patrons. Fingers crossed for next Wednesday.
BMI is a waste of time.
On what authority ummm?
There's lots out there that rubbish it.

It's an indicator, it's not accurate.

What is accurate is the scales and a tape measure.
Nothing is 100% but to throw BMI out the window would be very foolish indeed....unless you're a body builder.
If you wish to stick to your indicators, please do so by all means, but don’t trash what others are using. That’s not nice.
I'm not dieting to lose weight but I'm following the ketogenic way of eating as I feel miles better without carbs. And I love butter. And cheese.

I've also given up artificial sweetner as it fools the brain into thinking you've had sugar and so you produce insulin which stores fat. I've cut out milk too in my coffee due to lactose. Weight has fallen away and I feel really trim and fit and energised.

Well done on reducing that BMI, Rowan. You're going in the right direction.
Well done you too Lady CG. As you say you feel so much better, keep up the good work.....you too Rowan. Your determination is fantastic.
As xstitcher says nothing is 100%. rowan has the best idea of what suits her best and it seems to be good for her .She did say she has quite a bit to lose so it is def working . Keep up the good work .
What is good for one person don't always suit another.
And I have stayed the same again .
