In light of Ed's absence I am bringing you the monthly Weight loss & Dieting thread!
Last month's thread is here.
It is the month of Christmas. Are you lapsing or are you keeping on track?
I would like to thank Rowanwitch for starting the discussion on the 1st of December, which can be found here. However, this will be the official Weight loss & Dieting thread.
Two pulled hamstrings , fun it wasn't.... but I am not giving up, aquafit and aqua tone this week plus planning to add swim after gym/ at least one day. Crazy probably
Up more than I am willing to admit this week (even though I forgot to weigh until after 2 slices of toast). This has got to stop. Either that or I do. Back where I was 8 blooming months ago :-(
Lovely swim this morning, managed nearly half a mile, not bad considering its over five years and I only got back in a pool this week. Didnt bother with aquafit was perfectly happy plodding up and down
Be careful Rowan. Swimming is a really good exercise but again it’s best to build up nice and slowly. I was a competition swimmer in my younger days and the training rules were clear about building up slowly.
I have a rule, first twinge in my calves or abdominal muscles stop if it's 5 lengths or 50, not even stiff afterwards. I will be back to the gym today just for some strength work.
Sounds good Rowan. What I did when we lived in Spain was start out with 5 lengths keep it there for 3 or 4 days and then add three more every other day. I’d vary each length from breast stroke to back stroke. If I felt tired I’d just tread water for a while. I just loved it. I should add that our pool was not as long as yours probably is. Keep up the good work.
Good morning all, hmmm up one pound an no surprise. We had a lovely lunch with an old friend at his and I didn’t hold back. He is very creative and his table was so festive. We were served 3 courses, the main being a game pie.....mouth watering. It’s back to the rule book today.
I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. They say that we just might get snow Christmas Eve. I’ll believe it when I see it.
