Diet failures!
9 Answers
Is there anybody else who is trying to get back on a diet or stick to one since Christmas? I know I have put loads of weight on and it is making me feel really horrible but yet I still keep eating! I am even hoping it snows enough to give me an excuse to get out of weight watchers tomorrow........(which I have avoided for the past three weeks already) can anybody give me some motivation?

You are not alone. I have been eating a low GI diet for the past 2 1/2 weeks. I lost 3lbs, put back on 5lbs a few days later, now can't seem to lose anything!! I'm trying not to look on it so much as a diet but that we (hubby and I) are changing the way we eat for good now and hope that we lose some weight in the process!!
I hate the way I look so much I can only just bare to look at myself in the mirror.
I started doing my exercise DVD again today after managing to put it off for 3 weeks!! so do understand it's hard to get motivated but unfortunatly if you want to lose weight your going to have to put the effort in and prehaps weightwatchers isn't the way to go as you are trying to avoid going lol If your hearts not in it your going to find it very hard to lose weight.
I think the only way to do it is to eat sensibly and exercise, exercise, exercise. I would seriously try to find an alternative to WW if you hate going that much.
Good Luck, I know it's hard but you can do it :o)

i would advise you instead of going to weight watchers to exercise instead.there is too much emphasis put on eating than making the body work.not only will an hour a day, even walking, burn the calories but it gives your heart a good work out too.obviously your diet is a major factor in weight gain too,and the way we try to combat eating crap is always to have loads of fresh fruit in the house.im quite lucky that i get picked up and dropped off at a gym car park before and after work and try to use it every night.as for motivation?always have a goal to strive for.whether its a goal for you(always best )or someone else whenever it gets tough always remember it.and always chart you progress.sometimes you will only lose 1 pound a week and you think whats the point.the point is in 14 weeks you have lost a stone.if you have children then that can be a big stumbling block as we all know how easy it is to snack on their treats.my personal goal that i always use is every year i fly down to london from scotland to meet up with a few army mates for a weekend and i know it sounds very vain, but when temptation to pig out and forget the gym rears its head i always think nope,i want to look leaner and fitter than them.
weightlossresources.co.uk or maybe it's .com, is good. It helps you chart everything you are doing. It shows, how many calories you have eaten, how many you have burned through exercise and just helps to keep track of what you are doing, thus giving you a bit of motivation to carry on.
Good luck. xx
