I'm about to set up a small sole trader business in the UK making furniture and I am going to be moving into a small industrial unit which I will be renting. I have been advised by the people who are renting out the unit that I need to get personal and public liability insurance. I have done a few searches on the internet but I can't see any companies that have a combined policy. In other words it seems I have to get two separate insurance policies for personal and public insurance. Is this right? Or is it the case that public liability also includes personal liability.

Hollie, why post twice? I've just answered on this one. http://www.theanswerb.../Question1170109.html

This is just one insurance company offering liability insurance both EL and PL - I'd go and see a broker if I were you, then you can tailor it to what you want. http://www.axa.co.uk/...ess/company-insurance
Look, here's a company offering a single combined policy http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/commercial/ I've just googled "combined commercial insurance" and there are loads, I'm not sure what key words you have been searching on.
The OP does seem to be rather accident-prone. I'm surprised she hasn't tripped while going trip trap, trip trap over the rickety rackety bridge.
I was beginning to wonder that myself, mike...
