Closing Email Address

I have a yahoo.com email address which I wish to close and can't find how to do this on the Yahoo sites. Help please. why is life made so difficult by some organisations?

Don't you just abandon iot and it closes after a bit from misuse ?
Never wanted to close one myself. Even my secondary addresses don't attract enough spam to want to leave them.

That link looks to be what's needed but I can't let my first line stay like that. This lack of a edit afacility is abominable.

Why bother closing it. Just programme it so that all E/mails go into the junk folder; which can be emptied with basically a single click.
