Would You Pick Up Dog Poo From The Street Not Being A Dog Owner?
41 Answers
If you are not a dog owner, would you ever contemplate picking up some poo from the street just to be a charitable or helpful person?
I personally wouldn't. At best I could use a thin napkin but considering I don't own a mutt I don't carry little plastic bags around that are designed for the purpose of picking up turds.
You sometimes see in forests and fields people who walk their dogs pick up the dog poo, put it into plastic bag then sling it in a tree. Would you ever pick one of these off the tree and put them into the bin?

I have done it before now, TD. Some poor young woman was walking her parents Retriever when it suddenly crouched at the end of my drive and had liquid diarrohea. The girl was mortified. I told her I would clean it up for her and she was incredulous at my offer. But I cleaned it ll away and disinfected the pavement. A simple enough favour from one dog lover to another.
Yes and I have done so. I don't pick up every one I see but if there was one near me when I was picking up after my own dog then I would clean that up at the same time. As to bags hanging on trees, where I used to live and walked in the countryside where there were no bins, quite a few of us would go on a round trip and instead of carrying the bags all the way round, yes we would hang them up and then collect them on the way back home.
Why would I want to think about liquid dog *** being picked up with a shovel? I assumed you'd just get a bucket of water and try move it to the near by drain.
Those who would pick up dog deification II can say that you are better citizens than I.
I would happily join a litter picking session or help my neighbours but I do not pick up misc poo. As mentioned, I don't have a bag on me ever. I usually have gloves for any emergency first aid that may need doing so I probably wouldn't waste them picking up *** either to be honest.

I reside in a rather tiny quaint idyllic village in which, on a warm summer day, you can actually hear the buzzing of the bees in the cigarette trees. Unfortunately, in this village there resides a rather gormless post-man who is quite adept at leaving parcel notifications at the wrong houses, so when I observe random dog-poos on the ground whilst taking my dog for walkies, I pick them up and deliver them through the aforementioned post-man's letter slot.
