Haircuts

Our very lovely hairdresser is fitting us both in for a much needed hair cut at 8am on 4th July, the first official day for hairdressers to open and we’ll be her first clients.
It’ll save us both wielding the dogs hair clippers on each other with potentially disastrous results.
What have you done about haircuts during lockdown?

I have mine cut at home (housebound) and I had it cut last week.

Surprisingly, nothing, it has stayed in style, just longer. Thought my fringe would be a problem but just needed to sweep to one side a bit. I have an appointment on 15 July. Mr U had just had his cut before lockdown, very short, I have just shaved the back of his neck. He has had to use a brush on it for the first time in years but looks OK. Not that he has a lot!!!

Vagus is that now official? I understood that it was the first day that hairdressers COULD be allowed to open, not that they will.

Mr.Sam got a haircutting machine, (shears) for his birthday in May, he has cut his hair by himself, but I had to do the back. Came out a bit patchy, to say the least, the back I mean.

Hair dressers allowed to make home visits here,Portugal, 3 weeks ago. 4 children and 4 adults now neat and tidy!

My husband cut and coloured mine, using a semi-permanent dye. He did a really good job. He always cuts his own and I just trim the back of it, resisting the temptation to ask him where he is going on holiday this year!

I borrowed my brothers electric clippers. Booked in for the 6th July.

Mine seems so have grown so much that it ways an extra stone, at least thats what the bathroom scales say

I'm actually debating whether or not to have mine cut when the barbers are allowed to re-open. It's grown so much during the lockdown, it's almost as long as it was when I joined the army back in the early 70s. Granted, then it was a rather dark brown, while now it's almost white. Trouble is, the longer it gets, the more it tends to curl up at the back - never did that in my youth :-(
My barber lives just around the corner from me - his shop is only a short walk away - and he is going to give me a shout when he sets off to re-open. So, if I do decide to get it cut (which is quite likely) i'll be first in the queue. I know his scissors will be sharp, just hope his technique isn't a tad rusty. :-/

Redman's old clippers. Largest comb attachment longest setting result lovely pixie type cut and loads of lovely comments. Started doing it last October so just carried on. No colour left so my natural greys look almost on trend

Was your hair long before you whizzed it all off Rowan?
Did it take a bit of courage to do it the first time?
If we’d not been able to get an appointment booked then I think our dogs clippers would have been put to use today, seriously. It may still come to that if the opening up is delayed.

My usual hair cut is a short,shaggy, messy, affair. I can manage to keep the sides and fringe shaggy, but not the back. OH took some off the length at the bank but my instructions on doing shaggy layers were beyond him. So now my hair looks like Boris's but with dark roots.
