Do I need a license?

A Romanian holiday travel agency has recently offered me to represent them in the UK. Do I / they need a license to sell holiday packages in the UK?

I believe it is not necessary - BUT if you don't have one any client moneys have to go into a trustee bank account and cannot be touched (even to pay suppliers) until AFTER the client has returned home from holiday.

The above 'knowledge' is quite a few years old - it may be out of date.

People are more likely to book with you if you are AITO or ABTA or whatever anyway.
