Hi,
Can anyone explain to me why banks do not file financial figures at Companies House? Does this apply to other financial services companies? Are they not obliged to file anything at all, or must they file some information? It would be great to uncover this mystery as it would help me in my job. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Which bank are you thinking of? Is it a UK bank? I've just looked up a few.

Hi,
Not really thinking of any particular banks. I'm just aware that there's some kind of rule that says banks do not need to file at Companies House. I just wondered if anyone could elaborate on this at all? Thanks.
I've had a look at HSBC Bank plc and they have accounts filed.

I was under the impression that banks had more reporting obligations under Financial Services legislation than normal companies, so I would be quite surprised to find they actually had fewer.
