I'm overweight.
37 Answers
I went to the Drs this morning and he measured and weighed me - I'm 5.11 and weigh 13 stone exactly which, according to his little chart, gives me a BMI of 25.4 and therefore I'm officially overweight, or, to give it its technical name, a Fat B4stard.
I have a 34" waist.
Given that BMI takes no account of body composition (I have fairly big legs and shoulders from years of rugby - in fact, I weigh less now than I did when I was playing regularly), is it a fair comment to state that the BMI index is a load of rubbish and should be ignored?

I am similar stature but a bit more solid at 95Kg (14.5st or so) so just bordering on the obese - ha ha
But that onky counts if you have a waist measurement over 40" for a man
So no it shouldn't be ignored but you have to take the full rule into consideration
