Greetings each.
My colleague has a flair for design and currently produces printed advertising posters and flyers for local organisations etc.
He would like to be able to advertise his services/availability in order to attract work on a professional level.
Does anyone have any useful suggestions as to exactly how please?

also you could produce a a4 size leaflet with lots of samples an ditsribute to local businesses...perhaps add a few special offers

check out also all your local free papers and place ads

using pur local yellow pages send an pro email to local places

Yes, a professional Web Site serving as a portfolio is probably going to be your best bet. Then advertise this via flyers etc.
