Not long in business but is there an easy way to work out wages ie tax and NI still cant grasp it

No...you'd be better off getting an payroll package such as Sage.

Or send it out to a payroll company...they aren't that expensive.

Personally I've never had a difficulty in using HMRC's own software that you load onto your own business PC and which sets up each employee and calculates monthly or weekly tax and NI.

If you've only a few employees, the HMRC P11 calculator is simple to use:

Alternatively get a copy of their CD Rom which contains all you need.
