Hi I have had a search registered in jan on credit file for my joint residential re-mortgage, which was fast tracked prob due to partner having excellent credit score. I have now been given a AIP for a re-mortgage buy to let in my name only but have had to take this from Aldermore mortgages due to me having some adverse credit from 3 years ago (default on loan of £6k). Before getting the AIP with Aldermore my mortgage broker applied for a buy to let in my name with a prime lender which was declined so then did a buy to let (joint) prime which was also declined. Both these searches are now showing on my file. My loan app with Aldermore is now with underwriters who are aware of default but I am worried in case they decline me due to the other 2 searches. I have about 35% deposit.

You should be ok with only 2 or 3 searches. It is when they start seeing 6+ the problems will start.
