I want to pay some cash into my Nationwide Building Society account but I work banking hours, but someone told me you can deposit money at the cash machine.
How does this work and would I need a special envelope or can I print a slip off online and pop it and the cash in any envelope?
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know it's only at special machines and the only ones I have seen are inside the branch

The ATM's outside the branches usually have the Deposit facility available.

Card in.......select deposit.......key in amount......machine dispenses envelope....put money, etc into envelope and deposit into 'bleeping' slot.....wait a moment and then take receipt of transaction....retrieve card.

I bank with Nationwide and often use this facility.
I'm not sure I'd trust one of those machines where you simply put your money in an envelope in case they later claim there wasn't enough cash in the envelope.
I was thinking of those machines inside a branch in which you feed in your notes and the machine counts them and lists the total that is going into your account
