In mid April 2011 my debit card was cloned and used in an ATM in the Federal Bank of Lebano. If yours was too I would like to hear from you! As everyone knows the banks do nothing about this sort of crime but if I can find someone else who was defrauded im the same way, we can then see if we both used our card in the same shop, garage etc in the month or so before the theft took place (we don't need to share any financial information just the names of shops, garages etc). If we get a hit, we then know which shop, garage etc had the dishonest employee and we can report it to the Police. I have a contact in the Police who will take the case on (she took on a case a year or so ago when my mum had money stolen from her account). I look forward to hearing from you!

"As everyone knows the banks do nothing about this sort of crime"

so the bank didnt refund the money that you lost?
Mine details (well most of them) were stolen by some sod in the states when I shopped on line at ironheart.co.uk last Christmas, they weren't sucessfull as the didn't get all of them, but what annoyed me was that it took my bank untill March to inform me of the fact.
Mine was used in Canada. I had no problem with the bank at all. They picked up the unusual payments and cancelled the card and refunded the money without question.

Yes the bank have refunded my money but of course they won't investigate it and the criminals will carry on undeterred! So, if anyone else had their card cloned and used in the Lebanon please do as I ask in my original post. Thank you!
