My partner has just been made redundant and will therefore be stopping paying my monthly csa payment, what benefit can I claim to make good this shortfall please?

I work under 16 hours a week have two children in full time education currently get child tax credit/council tax rebate/carers allowance

I have a 50k+ mortgage and a very low income

any advice would be appreciated

you need to get some proper benefits advice - try cab.
Could you stop looking after whoever it is you look after and get more work?

Do they even take maintenance into consideration when you claim WTC?

Oh yeah...must read more carefully.
If you are a carer then you are entitled to carers allowance if your mum gets the middle or higher rate of disability living allowance.
You may be entitiled to further benefits but i would imagine that you will be on the max child tax credit anyway. Perhaps income support, go online to direct gov and they will have a number you can call to get benefits advice.
If both the children are in fll time education can you increase your hours at work, or change jobs for more hours? I know its notideal, but to keep your home its worth it! Welost our house when my husband became ill and i would give anything t go back to then and have better advice x
