I think it depends on how badly you want to save. I save very easily because I don't mind cutting back. My mum on the other hand says she wants to try and save but she can't.. it doesn't help that she's always spending!

If a man says yes he has, are you going to propose?

No lol
More or less. I'm only 38 though. So savings + pensions + investments...should be comfy well before retirement.

Everyone hasnt got that source of money
i have savings and pensions. I am only 34 though so should be fine for retirement. I could always do with more though! lol
Yes, mainly due to being self employed and not investing conventionally, but I'm comfortably off and have been for a while.
Probably not - when I was in my thirties, savings and pensions didn't seem important, we lived for the moment in those days.

Depends if you were left money, and never worked for it
Any tips Nox? (For investing unconventionally I mean)
I live in hope for a lottery win lol!

Do I know you bella? Not all my money was left to me!!
Question Author
No, was saying that most people work hard and struggle to save
The trick is keeping ahead of inflation when one is retired. How anyone survives on what the State provides is beyond me.

I have some savings, not a lot but a little put by for emergencies and build a little nestegg , you have to be quite strict and always be looking at ways to cut costs.

I find the moneysaving expert site quite helpful as well
I've worked most my life. My OH works hard for the pair of us now.
