Hi - I am going on holiday in July, but wonder whether it will be best to buy my euros now. How can you tell when is a good time? thanks

nobody can reliable foretell the future... but the euro is on the slide thanks to turmoil in Greece, and sterling getting stronger at the moment; personally, I'd wait. (There'll only be the odd cent in it so you've not got much to lose.)

Personally, I buy over the year, simply because I do it on a buy monthly basis from my wages rather than save and buy. Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I'm not
We don't ever buy in advance - we don't like carrying cash, we just get out money out of the hole in the wall when we get there.
I do that as well though box, I'm never flush when I get back lol ;-)
