If I change my bank account with the same bank to prevent unauthorised deductions from my account, will I have to contact all my standing order recipients, pension and benefit payers, or will the bank do it all for me?

The bank should do that for you.
Hi- can you clarify what you mean by "to prevent unauthorised deductions from my account".
If your account has been compromised by a fraudster the bank picks up the tab and should sort it all out.
If you simply wanted to close an account to stop someone such as a mobile phone provider taking payments under a contract then you'd still be liable even if the account was closed I think
