I am having a new kitchen installed soon for which I paid a cash deposit. I am wondering whether to pay the balance with half cash and half credit card in the hope that if anything goes wrong I have a certain amount of protection because some of it was paid by the credit card. Or am I wrong. Would appreciate any advice. Many Thanks.

If you can afford it, pay for it all by credit card for protection, then pay off your credit card bill by the due date, if not before.

Good luck, hope it looks good when it's finished.
For protection, you don't need to pay very much on your card.
