Buying property in Spain
Dont know if this is the correct place to post this.
We are going out to Spain - Murcia area - in October hopefully to buy a property.
We have a couple of Estate Agents mailing us regularly but now its getting closer does anyone know of the pitfalls because I dont think we have done enough homework,or indeed does anyone have a step by step guide I can embark on at this late stage.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have however made appointments with my Financial Advisor and Solicitor so I may have some knowledge to avoid the timeshare type cowboys.I am getting calls already and half hour later they call back saying they have spoken to their MD and he reckons we should up our price to get what we want.He doesnt have the advantage of seeing I dont zip up the back!!
Think we will wing it with the advice from our trusted friends in Scotland.
Not sure if you are thinking of going with a big developer, all I can say is they are often behind schedule. There is a large development called Mazarron which is where we bought from Masa which also has some properties in Murcia (well they are the biggest builders) I believe but they have a chat type board which is helpful if you want to ask questions or just read about problems people have encountered.
