Paypal Using My Bank Account

Why are paypal suddenly taking funds from my bank to pay for purchases when I want to use money I have in my paypal account? They say I have clicked on a link to use money from my bank but I havent, I want to use the money in my Paypal account. This has happened twice now, with purchases from two different sources. Never had this problem before. I spoke to someone at Paypal who I think was in India , not helpful at all. How can I change this and stop it happening every time I buy something?

Even going through Paypal you have the choice of paying by debit or credit card rather than your Paypal balance. Next time you buy something and it goes to Paypal make sure the tab for Paypal balance is highlighted as method of payment and not a debit card. Its happened to me before and its a nuisance when you have hundreds in your PP account and they take it from your bank.
