I am not an Independent Financial Advisor, but would like to point out that Hargreaves Lansdown are a well respected firm of Stock Brokers and Fund Managers. They are not 'Boiler Rooms' con merchants operating from a back street call centre in Spain.

The £1 offer is just the launch price, after the launch date the price will fluctuate in accordance with the value of the underlying investments together with the buy/sell margin used by the managers.

Should you invest depends on your attitude to risk and should be discussed with your IFA.

thanks twix123 - i am quite a long term investor 10yrs and am ok with risk .It was more whether this particular type of £1 launch fund does well historically
