I don't think DLA enters the equation at all , you could be in full time work and still be on the register - you get a nice yellow card (not sure what I'm supposed to do with it) :-)
No,this is not me,someone I know is going to apply and I do not think they can..cos they can see to work etc.

You get some concessions, I think it varies across the country . My Council allows me to purchase Taxi vouchers at a discount for example.
Also a nice lady came to tell me tips on how not to walk into things or knock things over - this according to her meant buying many new items which I didn't do.
DLA, or PIP as it now is, is not dependant on not being able to work. It's money paid to help you cope with the extra cost of your disability. My cousin, for example, was left paralyzed from the shoulders down after a rugby accident. His company were able to provide him the adaptations he needs to work, but he claims PIP to go towards the cost of his 24 hour carers, his adapted car, modifications on his house etc.
