Ive just qualified to receive a motability car if i want, but ive heard the government plan to take back about 30 pounds a week from those on this benefit. As i dont keep up to date with politics i was wondering if anyone can verify this or put me right as to what is happening and when?..thanks in advance.

I haven't heard anything about this. You pay for the car from your DLA or PIP allowance, usually around £50 a week
I could be wrong, but I think the eligibility requirements are changing, and as such SOME people who get mobility allowance will have theirs cut. As they use that for a car, they may be forced to get rid. I am disabled an eligible myself, but I choose not drive so have no real interest.
I think it's the ESA they are taking the £30 from but I may be wrong. It's definitely not DLA.
As far as I remember, DLA is NOT being cut, but is being frozen, with no increase
Carakeel has a disability car, we have not heard anything!
