Has anyone who is eligible received theirs yet?

I was asked this question this morning. I'd completely forgotten about it, but apparently they start paying it from beginning of November.

No JJ Winter Fuel Allowance is paid to all people of pensionable age to help with fuel bills. The £10 is only paid to pensioners who are on certain benefits as a bonus to help with extra cost at Christmas.

No, the Fuel Allowance is determined by age, the Bonus is for those on certain benefits - of course many people get both because they qualify for both.

My wife and I both got a £10 bonus last year and neither of us is on any benefits so I think, unless things have changed, that all pensioners get the £10.
I think the fuel allowance is paid separately because it is limited to £200 per couple - my wife used to get £200 until I retired, now we get £100 each.

yes had mine . I think they are sent out in alphabetical order . Mine always comes 1st week in November .

Or do you mean h he was eligible but she was too young, mally? I suppose it depends on the cut off dates- if the death was only last week but the programme was run 2 weeks ago it may still be paid

Mallyh, there's a lot of help within the benefit system, you have to search for them, they will not tell you about them obviously.
