I never seem to get a straight answer from Trading Standards, so better luck with AB. I like nice watches, it's my biggest indulgence. Went to one retailers site today and they are advertising 10% off every watch. Now all major watch retailers offer some period of interest free credit and I would rather keep my money in the bank so I always use 12 months interest free. I ordered a watch, retail £2200 and went to check out, tiny print, interest free credit on full retail only. I know that they don't have to sell to me but I thought they had to put "Terms and Conditions" on offers like 10% off all watches, not hidden in small print.
The watch was £2200,when you go to checkout you enter a discount code to get the 10% discount. As soon as you do this, the interest free option disappears. To find out why, you have to go to the bottom of the page, tiny print. There it states that if you buy on credit, no discount codes can be used.
