Hi , in the 90's I had a large overdraft with the bank HSBC. I am no longer with them and do not know my account number.I read somewhere I could claim money back through pip. Is this correct and if it is, is it better to claim it back yourself or get a company to do it please? How do yo do it yourself & what is the pip deadline please.? Thanks.
As Ubasses indicates, it's unlikely that you were offered PPI on an overdraft. The point of PPI is that it pays out in respect of any missed minimum repayment instalments on a loan when an insured person loses their regular income. However an overdraft doesn't have a specific repayment plan. So it's hard to to see what PPI could guarantee to cover.
