Partnership Agreement-Do I Need A Solicitor Or Not?

My brother and I am running a partnership business (Chinese Takeaway) for a few years and recently I am applying a business bank account with a different bank I am using right now. The bank requires me to provide a partnership agreement (which I don't have). They told me to get one drawn one with a solicitor. The question I want to ask is: Can I use a partnership agreement template I found online and sign it with my brother and then give it to the bank without going to the solicitor?

There's nothing in law to prevent you from using a downloaded template. If you do so though, I recommend using a UK download site to ensure that you use a form that's compliant with the laws of England and Wales (or of wherever you might be). (Really, really, really check through everything it says though and be prepared to amend or delete provisions that don't meet your requirements).

However your bank is free to make its own rules. So it would still be up to them as to whether to accept the document or not.
