Credit Card Balance Transfer
2 Answers
I have a credit card with a balance of
£300. I want to make a balance transfer from another card, will I have to pay off the £300 first or will it just be condensed into the adjusted balance? Thanks

Depends on the terms and conditions but you don't usually have to clear the balance first. Be aware, though, that if your credit card company is offering you a special deal for balance transfers then any payments you make could go to pay the new amount first, meaning you pay more interest on the original £300 debt. Be clear about the terms before you do it
