every one knows a lie detector cannot be relied on which is why they don't use them in court, yet straight away Kyle is nasty to the bloke. He doesn't give him a chance to speak. He committed suicide shortly after, would he have done that if he really was lying? It's bear baiting with people, I've always hated these shows and Kyle is the worst. Look into his shady past, he ain't squeaky clean.

My guess is that the guy wasn't lying, but given the humiliation and accusations I'd not like to say he wouldn't have opted out even had he been lying.
