Hi, I am part owner 50/50 with my ex-partner on our property. We have just splitup and he has decided he wishes to take the house on on his own and buy me out.He is also currently unemployed so he can not take it on independently although is father is willing to be guarantor/ put his name on the mortgage in my place.

His Father is willing to pay me off with the equity I am owed so that his son can keep the property at the same mortgage rate it presently stands at.I accept this however my question is,' How do I get removed from the title deeds and mortgage'.

Can this be done simply by appointing a solicitor and going in to sign off the deeds and mortgage or is this not as straight forward as I suspect. Any advice/help appreciated
