someone ordered a credit card in my name !!
I just received a letter from Capital One saying my application for a credit card was refused.
The problem is I never asked for a credit card.
Someone ordered it for my old address, but the reply was redirected to my new address.
What can I do?
I want whoever did this to be punished.
( and then find out why my credit scoring is so bad... )

But, remember this person may not have had all the necessary information on Space and therefore that could be a reason for refusing. Many lenders first check is the register of electors, if Space was not showing at that address then they would have asked for a previous address and the chances are whoever has applied would not know that. There are so many factors that may result in a refusal but its not necessarily the fact Space has a poor history.
P.S. There is no such thing as a credit score. Scores are used by individual lenders and not shown on a credit history report.

Try this...http://www.identity-theft.org.uk/what-if.htm.
You can get a guard on your credit for a small (but well worth it) fee.
