Independant Financial Advice

My Partner and I are about to buy our first house together.
I need to know where I can go to get the best Financial Advice (as I know if I go to a bank etc they are just 'selling' their financial products).

I want to know how much we can borrow, what our repayments will be, how much difference a sizeable depsit will make to our repayments (i.e. do I accept parents offer of loan)

Any advice would be appriciated - it's such a confusing matter! Thanks for reading, ShinyP xox
