Cook double (or triple) portions when making casseroles and sauces such as Bolognaise and freeze the surplus, to save gas/ electricity.
Put on a thick fleece instead of turning the heating up.
Never buy commercial sandwiches; instead take a packed lunch to work.
Develop interests and hobbies which don't involve going out and spending lots of money.
Don't feel you always have to have the latest gadget, the latest clothes fashion. You will NEVER keep up.
If you can't afford something, don't put it on your credit card. Save up for it and settle all your credit card bills in full every month.
If you can afford to save, always take advantage of your annual ISA tax free allowance, and don't let any savings linger in low interest accounts.
