wanting to save money!

Ive recently got myself out of debt, including paying off 2 ccj's. i now have a healthy income and want to open a new savings account and a current account with a new bank/ building society, but am finding it increasingly difficult to get past the first stage of applying due to my paid ccj's. They just dont want to know!
Do you know of a bank or building society that i will be able to join? any advice will be greatly recieved
