weekly to monthly salary

work in a shop at prsent been paid weekly this is changing at the end of march but my emplyer says we wont be paid our monthly salary until end of may is this correct

No its not. If you are starting to be paid monthly from 1 April, you should money by 30 April. Someone's trying it on.
