funeral costs

i am a separated woman, for the past nearly 5yrs. my husband is in failing health and is going to out to live in thailand with the new woman in his life and their child. I have told him to make a will and to get his affairs in order, but the idiot say why bother, the embassy will arrange for his body to get sent back here and i will have to pay, i dont want his body, and certainly dont want to pay for the previledge, can you tell me what my legal obligations are please. His attitude has come as a bit of a shock to me, i do not know if he has any finances

As far as I know, a body is only sent home at the request of next of kin, friends or other relatives. If you make no such request upon his death then you wil face no charges, as far as I know.
