I am buying a house which was repossessed by a bank. The power is cut off and, last time I bought a house (20 years ago), you just called the local electricity board and they switched it on for you. In these days of greater choice, how do I know who to call to do this? I have no idea who the last supplier was. I am concerned that, if I choose any one of the suppliers, it will take a long time to arrange. Any thoughts?
