Pensions/divorce
2 Answers
I am in the final stages of divorce, having had the first Decree in October'07. We are now finalising financial arrangements. When we first seperated in 2005,I was told that since I had not worked enough to be entitled to a full State pension, I would be entitled to an amount equal to a percentage of my husbands. Now,his solicitor is saying that he knows nothing of this type of provision. I have looked on the DWP and State Pensions websites, and have only found a single statement attesting to to this-ie-that a wife can be entitled to an amount equal to 60% of her husband's pension. Can anyone provide me with additional information to back this up??....I am unwilling to go ahead until this is sorted.

The information on pensions was initially mentioned I believe when we had mediation. The company pension has been sorted,it is just the state...and I am being pressured to sign a pension annex because we have gone past the agreed date when any maintenance paid by him was due to stop.
