is there any websites where I could see templates or find out about asking for a pay rise, so as I can put it n writing as I am not too good at the verbal.

No matter how good or not good you are - I think that verbally is the ONLY way to ask for a pay rise. As an employer I would see a written request as rude and impersonal.

Think about WHY you think you deserve a rise and WHAT you would do for your extra money and put this across to your employer or line manager in the best way you can. This will have far more impact than a templated letter.
