Improvement of credit rating

Does anyone know what practical measures I could take to improve my credit rating?

Make sure you are on Voters Role.

Keep up to date with payments (if you have credit cards, ensure that you have set up a standing order to pay them back every month)

Don't go to 100% of your card limits

Oh and get copies of your credit reports from:

Http://www.experian.co.uk

http://www.callcredit.co.uk

Don't apply for credit more than 3 times a month or more than 12 times in a year.
When you apply for your credit report, check it for any anomalies and contact the company if there are any issues.
Finally, even if you have any problems, they usually disappear after 6 years anyway.
