Carers Allowance

As I care for my disabled daughter I have been told I am eligible for Carers Allowance, which will really come in handy. I have applied already but does anyone know how long it takes before you hear from them, and how long before you start getting the money?

about 6 weeks ....once they say you can have it you will get back pay from the time you put in for it ...good luck

You must have recieved acknowledgement of your application, if you ring them they will probably tell you the answere before you get it in the post.
Yes you will get it back paid to the date of application
