Don't ignore it- seek help from someone like CAB

Are you sure, vibrasphere- have you got a link that confims this? Anyway the debt still exists and can be pursued and is within teh limitation period.

Standards for what- it isn't statute barred but are you saying the debts go off the credit file after 6 years? Have you got a link to confirm that?

Thanks vibrashpere- I couldn't get your link to work but i found thisone which seems as first reading to confirm what you say http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/debt_facts heets/credit_reference_agencies.php
Whilst i agree with your advice about prioritising debts I thinks it's worth making it clear that the debt still exists and can be pursued in the normal ways so sicnarf should seek advice and not ignore the debt.

Sicnarf- is the debt increasing with interest or is it a fixed amount?
