I'm applying for student finance to return to full time education as amature student, and they require from me the details of my application supporters (my wife)income for previous years. Having now sent this 3 times and keep receiving the same letter asking for the same information I have been informed, not from the student finance people I hasten to add, that sending COPIES is not acceptable as they will be discarded without letting me know that they are unacceptable. Has anyone else had this problem, does anyone know if it is the case? In numerous phone calls, letters and E-mails I have never been told photocopies are unacceptable. Thank you for your time and any advice.
It is a frustrating process. However a quick check of teh directgov site makes has a section for those supporting an applicant financially and this says "Youll find guidance on which original documents you need to send through the post as proof of income."
So I guess somewhere in there it says that P60s etc need to beoriginals. I know I had to send original passports and P60s off (in fact i took them by hand and certified copies were taken)
