I am moving back to NZ and renewed my contract with T-Mobile in May (I have been with them for 10 Years) and got a new phone. I rang them and said my Mum was ill and had to go back to NZ and they said I would have to pay 438 to get out of my contact unless I could fine someone to take it over till Nov next year.

I asked to talk to a manager to perform but no luck either with him.

Does anyone have any advice on this PLEASE!!!

Yes I have thought of that but I dont want any hassles for my flatmate it's 438 and will be popping into the country every few years, and want to leave the country stress free.

there is no way of getting out of it, you have to pay it - that's what a contract is you agree to pay, and they agree to provide a service.
if it is a swish phone, you could sell it on ebay to get some of your money back
