Credit Card Debt help

Hello there im new to this site but i have seen my partner use it alot and wondered if anyone could advise me on my situation.
Here goes
I have had an egg Credit card for 9 years now and after having a baby i am now not working and cant afford to pay my bills. After speaking to egg about this matter i set up a temporary reduced payment plan for 3 months which has now run out and they are not allowed to offer another.
This month i could only afford the small amount again and egg have told me if i dont pay the full amount my account will go into arrears and show on my credit rating.
I offered them a reduced full and final settlement of £6,000 (my outstanding balance is £11,277)
Which i could get from a third party, they said they do not take any reduced offers from any customers and i have to pay the full balance, they keep calling me everyday and im getting very stressed about it.
My question is should i just let them pass it to a debt collector and then offer the debt collector the £6,000 to clear it?

It is not true when they tell you they can not offer you another agreement. I have had several 6 months agreements with them, all with no interest being charged.

They offer great free impartial advice and there are lots of draft letters you can use, helps you work out exactly where you are financially and what you can afford. Fill out a personal budget plan and send this to them. Don't listen to people lecturing you on how you got into to debt it is none of their business, you are and you want to deal with rather than ignore/avoid it.

Yes they can offer another no-interest period. What they are often reluctant to do is to keep offering short periods, they tend to prefer to enter into a slightly longer term arrangement if you say you have real problems, there is no point them demanding money you just don't have.
