What can i do to save my home? Part one of two
1 Answers
Hi
Short summary, i had an accident 10 years ago, my back condition got much worse to the point were i have serious difficulty walking due to severe pain and discomfort. I finally get referred to the hospital, and the specialist sent me for an mri scan. i have two prolasped discs, muscle and nerve damage, sciatica and lateral femoral cutaneous nerve compression. i have been registered disabled by the social services dept of my local authority and have a blue parking badge. i was sent for an urgent epidjural which, with the eleven prescription tablets per day and the now eighth months of physio at hospital, and the fact a gp in writing says that working eight hour days is making my back worse and that working shorter shift may help it improve, has helped my condition overall by around 50-60%. My hours were reduced contractally from 40 to 20 per week (4 hour shifts) which i can manage at the moment. but financeally even with my wife working full time, a couple of pence per hour above minimum wage, we are seriously struggling to survive and pay our bills and mortgage. I have PROVEN my condition as you cannot fake an mri scan, i have a stack of medical reports for ten years highlighting back problems. i even have a report that says that pre injection i had 'difficulty moving his spine due to back pain, flexation forward is to knee only with difficulty, side flexation is minimal. he describes severe pain in the lower spine and left leg and is always present. it is severe and he has difficulty walking from the house to the car'. I have been told i will need medical assitance in the form of regular epidjurals and medication for probably for rest of my life. So with this support i can continue to work part time in a limited capacity. I applied for industrial injuries benefit as my accident was at a previous job, but was turned down on the grounds the doctor whom examined me said i wasnt physically effected and had no loss of faculty. continued in part two
