Can I Get A Refund On A Postal Order (UK)?

I bought a postal order in order to purchase a passport, but I don't need it yet, I have had printed to pay the passport office, but I have not sent it, can I get a refund? I have the receipt.

I suggest you call in at the PO and ask. Don't ring the PO phone number- you just paya fortune to listen to a few minutes of nothing.
I'm 100% sure you can get a refund (but not of the fee) if you take it back to a Post Office with the receipt.
